SCCC Baseball Splits vs Bucks (Season Opener)

We took on Buck CCC this pass Sunday, for a noon DH. Sussex baseball took game one by coming back from a 6 run deficit, to win it in the 8th inning. Tommy Moore tied the game in the bottom of the 7th with a missile over the left field wall for a home run. In the 8th inning (extra innings), Luke Steinman hit a fly ball to right field to score Nico Sebastiano from third base to win the game. That winning run also gave Luke the win on the mound as he secured the final two innings in shut out fashion.
Game 2 was a pitcher dual to the end, we lost that game 2-1 as our offensive struggled to put runs together. Sussex baseball will head down to CCBC Catonsville for a 3-game set, starting friday at 2pm. Catonsville will broadcast the games live via stats, so check on us while we are away!
