Sussex opened up the second half of the season with a tough home loss to Ocean County College. Trailing 50-32 at the half Sussex was able to chip away at Ocean's lead and trailed by 3 with 2 minutes remaining. However, Ocean was able to make their free throws late and hang on to defeat Sussex 78-74. Sussex was led in scoring by Frankie Rios with 20 points, while Samir Wheeler and Shaekwon Grant-Wheeler added 14 and 13, respectively. The loss drops Sussex to 4-8 in the region. Next up is a non-region road contest against SUNY Ulster.
