Sussex Defeats Ocean 86-79

The Sussex County Community College Men's basketball team defeated Ocean County College 86-79 on Thursday evening.  The Sussex Skylanders jumped out to a 47-33 lead in the first half.  The Skylanders had a well balanced offense with 5 players scoring in double digits.  Jalil Golden came off the bench to lead the Skylanders in scoring with 18 points.  PJ Ross (15 points), Christian Archer (14 points) Nate Aklilu (13 points), and David Forzani (13 points) all had strong offensive games.  Jesus Romero had another all around strong game and chipped in 7 points.  Hamadi Martin came off the bench to help spark the Skylanders with both a strong offensive (6 points) and defensive effort.  Keenan Iseli contributed minutes to help secure the win.  

With the win, Sussex improves to 12-6 on the year.   The Skylanders will travel to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. tip off against The Community College of Philadephia.
