The Sussex County Community College Men's Basketball team defeated Rowan Gloucester 69-40 on Saturday afternoon. The Skylanders played a strong game both on offense and defense. Four Sussex players scored in double digits. Christian Archer led the team with 19 points and 22 rebounds. PJ Ross contributed 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Nate Aklilu chipped in with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Jalil Golden came off the bench to add 10 points and collect 6 rebounds. Jesus Romero had a strong overall game with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Point Guard David Forzani directed the offense throughout the afternoon. Forzani finished with 4 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Hamadi Martin, Keenan Iseli, and Justin Blackwell came off the bench to contribute to the win. Sussex improves to 14-8 overall. They improve their record at home to 8-2. The Skylanders will host Misericordia JV on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
