Sussex Defeats Bergen 89-81

The Sussex County Community College Men's Basketball team defeated Bergen Community College 89-81 on Thursday evening.   The Skylanders led 38-36 at the half.  The second half saw numerous lead changes.  With 3 minutes to play the score was tied 78-78.  The Skylanders outscored Bergen 11 to 3 in the final 3 minutes.  The Skylanders were led by PJ Ross who scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Nate Aklilu scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.  David Forzani added 17 points including making 3 of 4 3-point shots.  Jesus Romero had a strong night with 11 points and 13 rebounds.  Christian Archer finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.  Jalil Golden came off the bench to chip in 12 points to help with the win.  Keenan Iseli and Hamadi Martin also came off the bench to help the Skylanders.  Sussex moves to 16-8 overall for the year.
