Sussex Beats Mercer to Advance to Region Final

Sussex finally beats Mercer, the 2023 Region 19 Champion, 9-5 to advance to play Del Tech Wednesday April 24th at 6:00 PM in Delaware for the 2024 Region Championship.

This is the second straight season Sussex will try and capture the Region 19 title.

Captain Liam MacClugage was brilliant in goal for Sussex turning away 13 shots and holding Mercer to 5 goals.

Senior Nate Melnick finished the day with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Jeremiah Carfello also chipped in a "hatty" with a 3 goal performance.

All 9 'Landers goals were assisted. 

Alex Husenjnovic gathered 3 of those "helpers" while adding a goal of his own.

Jack French and Terry Terzakis also scored for Sussex.

Midfielder Chase Geer had two assists and freshman Sean Utter assisted Terzakis on a man advantage.
