Armstrong Accepted by UCONN Sports Management Program

Ben Armstrong (High Point HS, Wantage, NJ) has started his next step in his collegiate career by enrolling in the University of Connecticut's Sport Management program.  A two year starter for the men's soccer program at Sussex, as well as a team captain, Armstrong is continuing his goal to start a career with sport event planning or player operations. UCONN's program is nationally recognized for its high standards, and only accepts 60 students total into the program.  Ben is one of two transfer students who were accepted into the program this year.  Ben graduated from Sussex with high academic honors with a 4.0 GPA and multiple academic awards, including the President's Award for Excellence and the Business Administration Excellence Award.

Sussex head coach Frank Vernacchio was full of praise for his former player and captain.  "Ben is an amazing student athlete. I am really excited to see him start his next chapter in life and learning in such a great program.  We are all really happy for him to take this opportunity and I know that he will be exceptional in the sports management field after college."
