Moura Commits to Sussex

Gabriel Santos Moura has committed to joining the Sussex Men's Soccer team. Moura, 22 years of age, resides in Brasilia, Brazil and is excited about the next chapter in his life. Moura says, " I am very excited about it. I've always had a dream of playing football and studying in the United States". Moura is looking to study physical education. Even though his passion is soccer, Moura enjoyes other sports and activities as well. Coach Vernacchio says, "I am very excited that Gabriel has committed to our program. We are looking to add not just to the talent of our program, but also to our culture. Having the opportunity to speak with Gabriel over these last couple months has been great. He has showed me he is not only the right fit for our program, but also the right fit for our school. I look forward to working with him and making him a part of our family here at Sussex. Moura has played futsal from the age of 7 and soccer from the age of 9. His speed and technical ability will help the program continue to grow and compete at the highest level. Moura says, "I am very happy that Sussex accepted me, I feel we will have many achievements and I would like to thank the whole team of coaches who believe in me and treat me very well".
