Bruno Rocha moving onto Southwestern Assemblies of God University

The Sussex soccer family is proud to announce that Bruno Rocha has accepted an offer to move on and play at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. Bruno was a standout defender for the Skylanders and achieved many accomplishments during his time here at Sussex. Some of those accomplishments include, two time 1st team all region selection, two time 1st team all conference selction and player of the match at the national tournament. Rocha was an exceptional leader on the field as well. Coach Vernacchio had this to say about Bruno, "Bruno was a tremendous player for us these past two seasons. When he was on the field, the rest of the team just simply played better. He has that presence about him. He is able to lead by example with how he plays the game. He has made me a better coach and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have coached him." We want to wish Bruno the best of luck and to say thank you for all you have done for our program, school and community!
