Sussex Mens Soccer Ranked at #6 in the Nation

In the early preseason poll, the Sussex Men's soccer program volts to number 6 in the Nation. The Skylanders enter a new season with a great freshmen class and Coach Vernacchio is excited about building on last year's success. Vernacchio says, "I am excited about this year's group and there is certainly a lot of potential of taking our program one step further. Being ranked is great, but it is not going to change our mind set as a program. We have not won anything yet and this year's group is entirely different from last year's. We are blessed to have had so many great players come through this program to get us to where we are now, but there is so much work still to do. We have a long road ahead to get back to the national tournment, but that is certainly the best part of coaching. You have to love the process." Sussex opens up its season on the road against rival, County College of Morris on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 3:30pm.
