Sussex Men end Regular Season on a High Note Beating Burlington

The Sussex Men's Soccer team beat Division 1 Rowan College Burlington County on Saturday, October 12th ending the regular season for the Skylanders on a high note. Jayden Coleman and Alessandro Filetti scored for the Skylanders and Willem Baines picked up one assist. Coach Vernacchio said "Burlington has a quality team and for us to come in and play the way we did was important, as we now gear our focus towards the playoffs." Seeding for the Region 19 Men's playoffs will take place later in the week. Coach Vernacchio commented by saying, "It doesnt matter how you start your season, what matters is how you end it. How the boys are playng compared to the beginning of the year is at a much higher level. That has been our main focus through out the year. How can we keep increasing our potential and improve the teams' chemistry has been important before our regular season came to a close. We can't control how the seeding ends up, all we can focus on now is getting the boys best prepared to do well in the postseason. We are excited for whatever challenge lies ahead."
