Sussex Wins Extra Inning Thriller over Camden CC

Sussex softball picked up it's first Region 19 win of the year vs Camden CC. After taking 8 run leads twice during the game, Camden fought back and tied the game in the bottom of the 6th. After a scoreless 7th inning by both teams, the game went into extra innings. Nicole Matlock's 2-run single in the 8th gave the skylanders the runs they would need, and Taylor Thieme came on to pitch the 8th inning and get the save.

4 seperate Skylanders collected 3 hits for the game: Kathryn Szatkiewicz, Taylor Thieme, Leah Struble, and Nicole Matlock. Kathryn led the team with 4 RBI's for the game, followed by Nicole with 3. Every batter for the Skylanders collected at least 1 run on the day as well. Brianne Willis picked up her first collegiate win on the day, pitching 7 great innings.

Game 2 was suspended due to darkness.
