Sussex Travelled to Ocean CC this past Saturday for a double header with the Vikings. After a strong first inning by Ocean, Sussex was able to shut them down for the rest of the game. After leaving runners on for most of the game, Sussex was able to push 3 across in the final 2 innings, but fell just short in Game 1, losing 5-3. Megan Rafferty and Janecia Cabrera each collected 2 hits, and Janecia added 2 RBI's.
Game 2: Trailing only 7-5 heading into the bottom of the 6th, Ocean's bats came alive and scored 5 runs for a 13-5 victory over Sussex. Amanda Maxwell, Nicole Matlock, and Janecia Cabrera each added 2 hits.
Sussex is 2-7 on the year.
