Bio

Amanda Maxwell, “Max”, is officially joining the Sussex softball staff for the 2021-2022. Max graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 2017. She was a 4 year varsity starter for softball where she was named Defensive MVP and received First Team All Conference and First Team Region All Stars honors. She then continued her academic and athletic career here at Sussex County Community College. 

In her freshman year at Sussex Max was named team co-captain, MVP, Region Player of the Week, and received Academic All American honors. In her sophomore year she received Academic All American, First Team All Conference, and Second Team All Region honors, while also receiving the SCCC athletic department’s Athletic Excellence Award. Max was also the  President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee in 2019 and was named SCCC Woman of the Year. Max spent her time volunteering with SCCC Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams as well as filming Men’s and Women’s basketball.  

After graduating with her associates degree in 2019, she transferred to North Carolina State University to continue her academics where she did extensive work with the marketing department of NC State Athletics. In this new chapter of her life, she is a real estate agent with Weichert in Sparta. Max is ecstatic to be back with the Skylanders and can’t wait to get the season started.
