Player Profile:

We’d like to welcome Matt Acevedo to the SCCC wrestling team. Matt Wrestled 138 and 145 his senior year for Morris Hills. During his time at Morris Hills he was a four time varsity letter winner with over 50 wins, a 2x top 8 place winner in the Morris County Tournament, was an Elizabeth Minute Men Classic tournament finalist, got invited to an all-star county match, and qualified for the Regional tournament placing second in district 8. Matt also received awards of most improved wrestler 2018-2019 and scholar athlete 2019-2020. Coach Burdge is quoted as saying “It’s exciting knowing that Matt received an award for most improved wrestler. That tells me that Matt has a good work ethic and I’m excited to see how far he will go with the SCCC wrestling team. Also receiving an award for scholar athlete shows that Matt is a well-rounded individual and I think he will be successful both on and off the mat” (Pictured is Matt wrestling for Morris Hills)
