Player Profile:

Gage Gares signed SCCC Wrestling’s online letter of intent. He is our first student to sign the letter of intent online, he couldn’t wait to show his interest in joining the program next year. Gage was a four year wrestler for Belvidere High school and was coached by Dan MCintrye and Seth Wisner. He plans to wrestle 149 for next year’s team. During his senior year Gage was chosen as a captain for Belvidere. He also had over 20 wins and was a district place winner, qualifying for the regional tournament. Gage consistently got better every year he wrestled for Belvidere and has not stopped wrestling since he graduated in 2019. He is continuing his training with the Dark Knights to stay in shape after graduation. Coach Burdge is quoted as saying “Gage really wants to be here and you can tell because he has not stopped working out since he graduated in 2019. I believe he will be better than ever when we start the program this October”.( Pictured is Gage in action for Belvidere)
