Merriman Commits to Sussex

Hayley Merriman (Rotorua, New Zealand) has committed to the Sussex women's soccer program for the 2018 season.  Hayley is a skillfull player who can play both as a midfielder and a forward.  She has great technical ability, is creative, and is a top finisher. This year, Merriman was the captain of both her high school and club team (Rotorua United), as well as the top goal scorer for both teams for the past two seasons.  Hayley was voted as the Most Valuable Player for her high school team this past season. Merriman has been playing soccer for 12 years, and has played all across New Zealand, as well as in Tonga and England.
