Women's Soccer Alumni Watch: January 2018

Kelsee Tironi, former Sussex forward from Hardyston, NJ, appeared and started 18 matches for Cabrini University. She was named to the All-CSAC Sportsmanship team, tallied six points off three goals, and attempted 32 shots, with 11 landing on target while playing as a defensive center midfielder. Kelsee netted the game winning shot against Clarks Summit University on 10/21/17, attempted a season high seven shots against Bryn Mawr College on 9/1/17, and recorded her first career goal against Bryn Mawr College on 9/1/17. Kelsee won the CSAC Conference with Cabrini this season, and scored in the CSAC Conference Title Game.

Anna Powell appeared in 13 of 18 games for the Post University Eagles.  A former center forward at Sussex from the Sunshine Coast, Australia, Powell scored 3 goals, including two against Bloomfield College, and former Sussex teammate Merrinda Hill, on Senior Day.  Anna is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies.

 

Poppy Bignell, born in Northampton, England and former Sussex left back, appeared in six games for the Goldey Beacom Lightning, helping them to a 12-5-2 record. Poppy is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management.

Merrinda Hill, former Sussex midfielder from Mildura, Australia, played in 11 of 16 games this past season for the Bloomfield Bears as a midfielder.  Merrinda is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
