Hudson Commits to Sussex

Olivia Hudson, from Nottingam, England, has just signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to join Sussex in the Fall of 2018.  Olivia is a pacey and talented outside back, who can play both on the left and right side of the defense.  Hudson likes to move high up the pitch to support the attack, and will often be seen making runs in behind the opposing defense.  Olivia currently plays for Nottingham Forrest Ladies in the FA Women's Premier League, having made her debut at the age of sixteen.  She has won numerous trophies and awards at the junior level, and is a player that the Sussex coaching staff is very excited to have on board.

"We are very excited to have Liv join the Sussex family," says head coach Frank Vernacchio.  "She has the right character that we are looking for in our student athletes, and we feel that she can really elevate our program.  She is quick, so that will fit well into our style of play, but she is also very composed in possession, which will really benefit us, as well as her.  We feel that she will only improve at Sussex and can then transition easily into the level of play she is looking for at the four year level."

Olivia will be enrolling in the A.S. Exercise Science degree while at Sussex.
