The Sussex women's soccer team defeated Middlesex CC 3-0 at home on September 20. The opening goal, and game winning goal, was scored by left back Siera Simon, her first career goal at Sussex, with Lea Fricke providing the assist. It took to the start of the second half for Sussex to double their lead, after a penalty kick was called for a handball in the box. Maddi Ollington stepped up to slot it away to give Sussex the 2-0 lead. Lea Fricke became provider again, when she set up Ollington outside of the box at the 75th minute for Maddi to drive home the strike, off the post and in, to put the game to bed. Emily Martinez recorded her second straight shutout.
