Utter Commits to Sussex

Mackenzie Utter of Kittatinny Regional High School has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to commit to Sussex County Community College and play for the women's soccer team. Utter, who played in central midfield for Kittatinny, can play in a variety of positions and has a great technical skill-set.  Head Coach Frank Vernacchio is excited to start working with her, stating, "Mackenzie is a great player.  She is the type of local talent that we look for here at Sussex, and we think that she can come in a fight for a spot right away.  She has some speed and good technical ability, and her personality and playing style will really compliment our system and philosophy.  I can't wait to start working with her, as well as the rest of our talented freshman class.  I think that both our returning and incoming players will work well together and we can really achieve something great this year."

Sussex Women's Soccer opens their season on August 31 against Monroe Community College (Rochester, NY) at home at 12:00pm.
