Sussex Women Soccer Bounces Back against Brookdale

The Sussex women's soccer program came back in a big way against Brookdale, defeating them 6-0 after falling short in their opener against Harcum. Blaise Vallorosi, Paula Herold, and Sophie Taylor scored two goals apiece, while Carina Gasparini added in two assists for Sussex. It was a dominant performance and one that needed to happen after the home opener. Head Coach Frank Vernacchio said, "Our first game we knew as a team we should have done better. For myself and our coaching staff it was great to see the passion and will our team came out with today. I am proud of this group and moving forward it will be about keeping this standard of soccer through out the course of this seasaon." The Sussex women's soccer team will kick off again against Lackawanna April 16th, home at 1p.m. This game will decide the winner of the region early on in this spring season. Coach Vernacchio added, "I think for us, having the performance we just had against Brookdale was important going into this game against Lackawanna. It is going to be a battle, but I am confident in this group and what they can do."
