Portas Signs for Sussex

The Sussex Soccer program is happy to announce that Maria Margarida do Vale Cortez Portas has signed her Letter of Intent to join Sussex County Community College for the 2022-2023 year. Maria, of Porto, Portugal, is a technical player who plays mostly in central midfield.  Head coach Mike Rath is excited to start working with Portas, saying, "I'm delighted to have Maria join our soccer family.  Her competitiveness and game intelligence will help us in our pursuit of the National Championship this season.  I think that her vision of the game is outstanding and she will really grow her own game with us this year as well."
