Sussex Mascot Named

During halftime of the women's basketball game between Sussex County Community College and Middlesex County College, the Skylander mascot learned of his official name.  It was unveiled, that by popular demand, the new name of the Skylander mascot would be Skylor.  The process of choosing a name began in the middle of November, about a week before Thanksgiving.  Students sent in ideas for names via an online survey and the top three names were collected.  After Thanksgiving break, students voted for their favorite name of the top three choices through online surveys and paper ballots.  Skylor was the number 1 choice according to the students, faculty, and community members who voted.

Skylor the Skylander joined Sussex last Spring and has been a constant presence at athletic and other college events.
