Region XIX Thanks Officials

(Region XIX Institution) is joining with NJCAA Region XIX to take a day to thank all of our sport officials and official assignors.

They don't make the headlines, their names are not in the box scores and they don't make the all-star teams, but perhaps the most important individuals in sports are the contest officials. These individuals are so important that, in fact, there would be no organized competitive sports at the without the men and women who officiate these contests every day across the country. 

Quote from Athletic Director, John Kuntz: "Our officials and assignors are really the unsung heroes in our intercollegiate athletic competitions.  They brave the elements, long travel, and are commonly overlooked in the success of collegiate competition.  They have to make split-second decisions to keep games under control as well as keep the safety of the players.  We are trult grateful for everything they do."
