Sussex baseball gets the sweep today against ABC, winning game one 4-1 lead by the dominating pitching by sophomore Trevor Risdon (High Point), going the full distance, striking out 9 batters while only giving up 2 hits. Aldo Vallorosi (Newton) had a big hit driving in two runs, going 2-4 with two rbi's. Wataru Kazama (Japan) continues to swing a hot stick as he went 2-4 while scoring 3 times.
Game 2 was not a pitchers dual like Game 1 but more of a slugfest, Sussex 12 ABC 8. Anthony Carida (Hackettstown) lead the way going 4-4 with a double 2runs 2sb, also Jean Lagreca went 2-3 with 2 rbis and hit his first college HR. Chris Miller (West Milford) also had a good day at the plate going 2-3 and Dalton DelRosso went 2-2 with 2doubles with 2runs scored. Gustavo Souza(Brazil) came in relief to pick up the win and Nathan King (South Carolina) picked up the 2inning save to close out the game.
