Baseball Sweeps RVCC in Region Play

Sussex Baseball came out hot again in Region play yesterday against RVCC. First game, Sussex totalled 20 hits all together to score 17 runs. Edgardo Matute pitched 6 innings with 9 strike outs and Luke Steinman capped the 7th inning off with a 1,2,3. Game 2 brought a little more of a challenge, as RVCC tied the game in the 6th but the Skylanders came away with a big run in top of the 7th to gain the lead back. Danny Titus got the start in game 2 and pitched 4 strong inning, allowing only 1 unearned run. Drew Burke came in and got the win, going 3 innings in relief to lock down the win and secure a 4-0 start in Region Play. Next up is Westchester CC, Thursday 3/28 @Skylands Stadium (3:30pm).
