Sussex picks up 3-2 win over Colts

Skylanders picked up the 3-2 win vs Middlesex CC. Gianni John Pereira came into the game in relief and inherited a bases load no out jam, came out of the inning striking out 2 batters and getting the 3rd batter to pop out to center. Gianni went 3.1 innings striking out 8 batters and giving up zero runs. Luke Steinman picked up the victory following Gianni, going 1.2 innings striking out 2 and kept the colts hit-less. Edgardo Matute shut the door in the 9th inning to earn the save. Big hit of the day came in the bottom of the 7th, Adam Thompson drove in two runs with a hit down the left field line. Sussex ended up getting the 3rd run of the inning from a balk call from Middlesex's pitcher. Sussex Baseball is back in action tomorrow night at Skylands Stadium (7pm start, 6:45pm pregame ceremony) for our Annual Military Game, come watch a game under the lights and donate what you can for a great cause.
