Sussex Men Top Middlesex

Sussex Men Top Middlesex

Over the weekend, the Sussex Men's Soccer team came out on top in another hard fought battle at home. Adrian Sanchez would score in the first half to give the Skylanders the lead and would be a stand-out player for Sussex during the game. As the second half got underway, Nicolas Garralfo of Middlesex would put home an equalizer that would get the game tied up with 20 minutes left to go in the game. Sussex didn't panic and continued to control most of the second half. With 10 minutes left, Keiran Oullettee would put the Skylanders up by 1 and this would be enough to give Sussex the win. Coach Vernacchio said, "Keiran has certainly been clutch these last couple of games. I believe he has truly pushed himself in training which is what you are seeing on the field. He is such a crafty player and is a lot to handle for most teams we play against." The Skylanders play away this Tuesday, September 24th, at Raritan Community College. Coach Vernacchio added, "Raritan is a program that continues to improve each year. It will be another tough battle for the boys, but I know we are excited for the challenge. We are starting to put it together and it is great to see that translating onto the field."

Kick off at Raritan will begin at 3:30 pm. Come out and support your Skylanders!
