Cole commits to Sussex

Jehiel Cole, from Trinidad and Tobago, has committed to playing soccer for Sussex this upcoming fall season. Jehiel is a talented forward who is also very humble. Coach Vernacchio said, "I have enjoyed my conversations with Jehiel and could tell that he is both excited and grateful for this next step. He is a talented player who will certainly add to the quality of this 2021 class. He has the ability to hold up play or get in behind a defense. He is versatile in his play and I am thrilled to have him joining our program." We asked Jehiel what some of his greatest accomplishments are and he said, "Without the team, I wouldn't accomplish anything so I'll have to say my greatest accomplishment was getting promoted with my team." As Coach Vernacchio spoke about Cole's humble character, Cole added, "I am looking forward to developing that brotherly bond with my teammates." We are excited to have Jehiel joining the Sussex Soccer family and want to welcome him on behalf of the entire athletic department!
