Castro Named as New Head Coach

The Sussex Athletic Department is proud to announce Christian Castro-Pereira as the new head coach for the men's soccer program. Castro, who resides in Wharton, NJ, will look to rebuild upon past successes that the Men's Soccer program achieved over the past 4 seasons, reaching the NJCAA DIII National Tournament four consecutive times.

Christian served two seasons at Saint Elizabeth University as an Assistant Coach and the Head of Individual Development. He supported in bringing the Eagles to it's first winning season in Men's Soccer history, as well as making a CSAC Semifinal appearance where they fell to Rosemont College in a 4-2 Loss.

Athletic Director, John Kuntz says, "We are excited to have Christian join our staff and I look forward to seeing him continue to build our soccer program and compete at a high level.  We would like to welcome him to our Sussex Family."

Preseason practices start on Monday, August 1st with the game scheduled for Thursday, September 1st against Essex CC.
