Sussex Named #3 Seed for Region Tournament

The Sussex men's soccer program earned the #3 seed for the NJCAA Region XIX Postseason Tournament.  Sussex finished their regular season with a 9-3-2 record, scoring 53 goals and allowing 24.  Interim Head Coach Mike Rath is looking forward to the tournament saying, "We are really happy to be here right now.  We have a great opportunity to play at home for the semi-final and show our college how great this team really is." When asked about the journey to get to the team's first playoff appearance in 3 years, Coach Rath added, "The credit is all with the players.  They have fought and battled to get us into such a great position, and I am really happy for them to have this experience now where they can achieve something [Region 19 Championship] that has not been done for a couple years.  I'm just really proud of all the players at this moment."

Sussex will compete in the NJCAA Region XIX Tournament B Bracket and will face the winner of Ocean CC and Brookdale CC on Tuesday, October 29, at 1:30pm.
