The Sussex Softball Team split games with Montgomery College (MD) with a 9-4 loss and 11-1 win. Peyton Smith started with a loss, but battled back in the second game with pitching a complete game and only allowing one earned run, while striking out 5. Taylor Thieme, voted as last week's GSAC Player of the week, went 4-7 with 2 doubles and 3 runs, while Amanda Maxwell also went 4-7 at the plate with 3 RBI's. Sussex Shortstop Leah Struble added a 3 run home run during the second game to cap off an impressive win.
