Emma Babcock Signs On for 2024 Sussex Softball

Sussex Softball would like to officially welcome incoming freshman, Emma Babcock. A High Point Regional High School native, Emma committed to SCCC as a true utility player focusing on Pitching and Infield. Majoring in Psychology, her goal is to take academics onto a four-year University. She states, "My hopes for the future include obtaining my Associate's degree from SCCC. Using this as a springboard, I will then transfer to a four-year college to obtain my Bachelor's degree. In the end, my career plan is to become a Forensic Psychologist". Being a student-athlete at the college level is challenging but Babcock is ready to dominate. "I chose Sussex because it is financially responsible with our current economic climate and I am looking forward to the camaraderie and support from the team as I embark on my first year of college".

Coach Jamie says about Babcock, "She is one player that I'm excited to see physically and mentally grow. She has the potential and work ethic to put her goals first while leading her team from a freshman role. She will certainly make an awesome addition but better yet, a grand addition to our growing program. Her attitude and determination are impressive for a first-time freshman and I look forward to our coaching staff supporting her through her own individual growth as a person, student, and a Division II collegiate softball player."

Babcock would also like to give a shoutout to her previous coaches who have helped her grow and succeed, including the Kaboom team she plays for now.

Welcome home, Emma Babcock!
