Women's Basketball Falls Short

Women's Basketball Falls Short

The women suffered two close losses this past week. Losing by 3 in tough match against Harrisburg on Saturday, they then matched up against the current first place team, Passaic County on Tuesday. 36-21 at half, the ladies fought hard to get back in the game. Unfortunately, the comeback did not quite have the momentum they needed, and the women fell short, 59-69.

Alyssa Aragona led the skylanders with incredible shooting, hitting eight 3-pointers. She scored a total of 65 points in both games (30 against Harrisburg and 35 v. Passaic) and tallied 20 boards and 11 steals over the two games. Alyssa was backed on Saturday by Casey Langenbach's 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals and point guard Phoebe Livingston's 10 points and 5 assists.

Against Passaic, Casey put up 12 points and 10 rebounds, Phoebe added 6 points and 5 assists, and Hannah Delbury chipped in 4 and 3 blocks.

The Lady Skylanders wish their fans a happy Thanksgiving; they hope to catch their first win next Thursday at 5 p.m. at home against Lehigh Carbon. Come out and cheer them on!
