With an overtime victory against Bergen CC, Sussex Women's Basketball advances to the Final Four of the Region XIX Playoffs!
In the third straight game in a row, every one of the Sussex Women contributed baskets. The team's all-encompassing play bought them the victory, each player instrumental in key moments: scoring, grabbing boards and drawing defensive stops.
Phoebe Livingston was hot for the Skylanders, totaling a career high of 19 points. Alyssa Aragona added a solid 16; captains Aragona and Hannah Delbury playing the full 45 minutes to keep Sussex afloat. Heather Seugling contributed a key 4 points in overtime to clinch the victory, 51-46.
#5 seeded Sussex will play #1 Brookdale in the semi-final game this Saturday, March 2nd at Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ) at 2 p.m. Sussex split with Brookdale 1-1 in the regular season, losing by ten the first game and winning by five the second, so this is one game not to miss!
