The Sussex County Community College Women's Basketball Team took home their third win on Saturday.
Up 39 to 6 at half, the Skylanders started the game with a strong defensive effort to shut Cumberland down. The team carried out a united offensive front as well, every Skylander chipping in points.
Miranda Hnyda was hot and sunk 8 buckets, 18 points total, and had 15 rebounds. She had a tremendous week, leading the Skylander offense with a combined 54 point in their three games.
Jeyleen Joaquin sunk 3 threes vs. Cumberland and totaled 15 points. Phoebe H. Livingston had a triple double - dishing 12 assists, grabbed 12 steals, and put up 10 points. Kristen Burse chipped in 9; Lana Varcadipane 8; Marissa Kepnes and Madison Mailloux 6; Sydney Tantleff, 2 points, 5 steals and 9 boards.
The Skylanders play at home on Tuesday @ 5 p.m. vs. Monroe Bronx Express JV, and hope to go into Thanksgiving Break on a winning streak.
