Sussex Women Make it 5 in a Row!

The Sussex Women's soccer team continue their solid play as they defeat region oppponent, Lackwanna College, at home with a score of 7-0. Maria Gomez would record her first hat trick of the year and teammate, Mackenzie Utter, would also have a solid performance with having 2 goals and 1 assist. The Skylanders would dominate this game from start to finish, keeping a high standard which is what Head Coach Frank Vernacchio and Associate Head Coach, Mike Rath, would elaborate on more after the game. Coach Rath added "It is so important to keep the standard of play high. Every game and every practice you're training your brain. If you let that level fall, it will come back to hurt you later on in the year." Head Coach Frank Vernacchio would also add "The girls are on a good path right now. It is easy to oversee the things we need to improve on when you are winning, but this group is never satisfied. That has certainly been the best with watching this group grow. As the season goes on, it is only going to get harder and when you have a team that is constantly pushing themselves to a higher level, it should make for an exciting season."

The Skylanders play Tuesday, September 24th, away at Bergen. Kick off will start at 3:30 PM
