Player Profile:

For the past three years Taylan Zafis has been looking for a local junior college with an opportunity to wrestle. We are happy to say he’s finally found one in Sussex County Community College. Taylan graduated from Warren Hills Regional Highschool in 2017. From there he tried to find a local opportunity at the junior college level to wrestle because of his passion for the sport. Unfortunately at the time there were not many local opportunities at the junior college level. Were glad that Taylan finally has his opportunity at Sussex and look forward to him competing next year. Taylan wrestled all four years at Warren Hills and during his senior campaign he was HWS place winner as well as a district and region place winner at heavy weight. Taylan has never stopped working out as he currently lifts and works out at local wrestling clubs. Taylan plans to wrestle 197 for the sky landers next year .Coach Burdge is quoted as saying “Taylan has been waiting three years to get back on the mat and is actively pursuing to come in the room in great shape.
