Skylanders Defeat SUNY-Ulster for Second Straight Win

The Sussex Men's Basketball team earned their first road win since Nov. 23 by defeating SUNY-Ulster 94-78. The game was dictated by the Skylanders full-court pressure, which made the Ulster offense very uncomfortable the entire length of the floor. Although Sussex came out to a slow start, energy was sparked when the Skylanders went into that full court press, allowing them to turn defense into offense. Sussex had a 6 point halftime lead, and immediately brought that same energy and pressure into the second half, ultimately concluding with a 16 point victory.

The Skylanders had 4 big scorers in the contest. Annario Ware led the way with a game-high 26 points (and 6 rebounds) - Stefen McKinnon finished with 20 points coming off the bench - Jayden Battle chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds - Haziz Adeshina added 17 points.

With this victory, the Skylanders are back to .500 with a record of 6-6. They will host County College of Morris on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 7PM with an opportunity to head into winter break above .500! Follow @sccchoops on Instagram for game updates/stats/results and player/program info!
